This page explains how to request deletion of your Nadwa account and personal data, and summarizes the data Nadwa collects. It complements our Privacy Policy.
How to request account & data deletion
Because Nadwa uses a managed sign-in provider (Clerk) and does not yet offer an in-app “Delete account” button, deletion requests are handled by our team. To request deletion:
- Email meshal@alphaalgorithms.io from the email address associated with your account.
- Use the subject line “Nadwa data deletion request.”
- Tell us whether you want your entire account deleted, or only specific data (for example, a particular child/student profile you manage).
We verify that the request comes from the account owner, then delete the data. We aim to complete deletions within 30 days and will confirm by email when done.
What gets deleted
On an account-deletion request we remove:
- Your account identity (email, display name, authentication record with Clerk)
- Your profile (city, ZIP/postal code, approximate location, gender, friend code)
- Your mosque memberships and roles
- Any child/student profiles you created and manage, including their memorization progress, grades, and attendance
- Your device push-notification tokens
- Community content you created (where deletion does not break shared records for others)
What may be retained
- Payment records: Transaction records held by our payment processor (Stripe) may be retained as required by law, tax, and accounting rules. We instruct Stripe to delete customer data where permitted.
- Legal/security records: Limited records we are legally required to keep, or that are needed to resolve disputes or prevent abuse.
- Backups: Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup-rotation cycle.
